gently stroking
and rocking the rafters

or making new stories (that can't even be told)
day dreaming
night dreaming
stolen moment
kisses in a closet
or under skirts
writing poetry
reading poetry
sitting in a room craving to touch you while poetry is read

through "z" day
and number 23 day
making new friends, because they enjoy our joy
facing reality at breakfast
waiting, patiently, or impatiently as the case may be
feet to head on a bed
heels over head in love
windows open
windows closed
sleeping on my shoulder
or fighting sleep to make it to another midnight
tequila or ice water
